Job Description

 Provides nursing services to members primarily assigned to a specific clinical location. Services include engagement, assessment, triage, treatment planning, medication administration, health and medication education, physical healthcare advocacy, and supportive care. Has an assigned caseload and is available as needed to any member assigned to their clinic. Participates in utilization management and quality improvement activities as required. Provides after hours coverage and support to all persons being served on the ACT team.

 Only candidates 21 years of age or older will be considered.


Eligible candidates must possess a degree in registered nursing or equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience and a current R.N. license issued by the Arizona Board of Nursing. Requires at least one year prior psychiatric/behavioral health experience with seriously mentally ill adults.


Thorough and working knowledge of psychiatric and co-occurring disorders, DSM-5 codes and descriptions, psychotropic medications and crisis intervention is imperative.

Knowledge of community based behavioral health services preferred.

Must be able to maintain excellent member and family relationships and provide excellent customer service.

Requires effective interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills and understand how to tactfully communicate difficult or sensitive information.

Must be competent in the use of electronic medical records software, as well as in the use of a computer, printer, copier, and telephone. Preferred typing skills of 25 to 40 WPM.
